ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
The Iroquois Trail Council, which serves all of the Boy Scout troops of eastern Niagara County, is hosting an Eagle Scout alumni event on July 17th at Camp Dittmer in Phelps.
The alumni event, open to anyone who became an Eagle Scout in any troop of the Iroquois Trail Council or its predecessor – the Lewiston Trail Council, is designed to bring together the Council’s Eagle scouts (youth and adults alike) in hopes of creating an Eagle Scout Alumni Association that will mentor potential Eagle Scouts, host networking events, and conduct service projects at Camp Dittmer or Camp Sam Wood.
Check-in will be at 4 p.m. and the evening will include a meet-and-greet, a State of the Council address, dinner with the campers, a camp tour and a camp fire. Also, if anyone would like to make a full day out of it, the camp will be accessible all day long, allowing the Eagles to check out program areas and watch the water carnival.
If you would like to attend this event, email Board President Bob Confer at bobconfer@juno.com and Council Executive Jim McMullen at Jim.McMullen@scouting.org. For more information, the Council’s website is itcbsa.org.
