WILSON — The Wilson Community Food Pantry will be holding a Basket Raffle fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Wilson No. 1 Volunteer Fire Hall.
The not-for-profit, volunteer-run program located in the heart of assists over 85 families from Wilson and surrounding communities each month. With the ever growing number of families in need of this assistance and the continued increase in food costs, the Food Pantry expends over $1,000 per month to keep providing services. Organizers are hoping Sunday's raffle will help defray some of the group's costs.
The event will also feature a "Lucky Number Game" and a baked-goods sale.
Tickets are $5 for a sheet of $25 and available at the raffle. Winners need not be present to win.
