John Apolito, 53, 5 Case Ct., was charged around 5 a.m. Monday with disorderly conduct, obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance. According to the LPD arrest report, police were called to Case Court for a report of two males fighting in the roadway. When they arrived, they found two men lying in the roadway, one of whom was Apolito, who then got up and ran to his house, slamming a glass door and causing it to break. Patrol entered the house, where Apolito was found hiding in a closet. While being booked, he was found to have a green pill on him. He is due in City Court Wednesday.
Michael J. Sherman, 22, 5 Blackley Ct., was charged around 7:16 p.m. Sunday with third-degree assualt. According to the LPD arrest report, Sherman punched a city man in the face several times and knocked him down a flight of stairs. He is due in City Court on Wednesday.
