Walter J. Dlugosz, Sr. passed away April 18, 2015 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Rehab & Health Care Center.
Born in Buffalo on August 8, 1943 he was the son of Walter S. and Sophie (Tomera) Dlugosz. Walter served in the US Navy from 1963 to 1965. He worked for Harrison Radiator as a Flux Room Attendant. Walt enjoyed bowling, which he had bowled a 300 Game and an 800 Series; he also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and watching his son and grandchildren play sports.
Walter is survived by his wife of 17 years Valerie (Chesko) Dlugosz of Lockport; father of Walter (Aileen) Dlugosz, Jr. of Grand Island, Pamela (Mark Stolzenberg) Brown of Lockport and late Ronda Jo Dlugosz; step-father of Aaron (Tammy) Preisch, Steve (Kelly) Preisch, Greg (Julie) Preisch and Todd (Tina) Preisch; grandfather of seventeen and great grandfather of four. Walt was the brother of Donald (Lynette) Dlugosz, Terry (late Ronald) Clark and the late Jean (late Phil) Killian. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial mass on Saturday, April 25th at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
