A 39-year-old Town of Lockport man was charged by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation with first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
Brian C. Dever is accused of subjecting a child less than 11 years old to sexual contact, according to NYSP.
Prior to his arrest, Dever was interviewed about the allegations and agreed to take part in a Sex Offender Risk Assessment.
He was arraigned in the Town of Lockport Court, was released on his own recognizance, and is scheduled to return to the Town of Lockport court on Thursday.
