Katie Rich
A 31-year-old North Tonawanda woman has been charged by New York State Police with fourth-degree grand larceny, first-degree falsifying business records and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing — all for allegedly receiving unemployment benefits while working.

Katie J. Rich was charged Friday following an investigation by NYSP and the New York State Department of Labor. According to NYSP, Rich fraudulently obtained over $2,600 in unemployment benefits while she was gainfully employed by Niagara County as a Board of Election Clerk between March 26, 2012 and July 1, 2012.

Rich was arrested and processed at SP Lockport. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Lockport Court today.
