BUFFALO — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team will be holding an online auction of the breast cancer awareness Sabres jerseys that were worn and autographed by Sabres alumni during the annual Sabres Alumni Fall Wine Festival, which took place at First Niagara Center on Thursday. The jerseys also feature a pink ribbon in recognition of the cause.
The proceeds will be donated to benefit breast cancer care in Western New York. Some of the alumni whose jerseys will be up for auction include Gilbert Perreault, Rene Robert, Danny Gare, Rob Ray and many more.
The auction will begin at 5 p.m. and run for a little over a week — until 9 p.m. March 25. Fans can access the auction and place a bid by logging onto the auction section of NHL.com.
