ENP STAFF REPORTS

Lockport's William J. Ryan Div. of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians will do things a little different this St. Patrick's Day.
The organization, which has for years led a small parade from St. Patrick's Church (now All Saints Parish) to lay a wreath at the Irish immigrant monument on the Big Bridge, will take a drive instead from All Saints Oratoray (St. Josephs) in Lowertown, where Mass will be held at noon.
Water issues at All Saints Parish necessitated the church to move masses until the problem is resolved.
The customary quarter-mile walk works for the Hibernians. A nearly-mile walk uphill does not.
The Order may have a post-wreath-laying celebration to follow, according to Hibernian John Sullivan.
