Francis "Frank" La Spada Sr. entered into rest March 5, 2015. Born October 22, 1954, he was the son of Samuel and Mary (Hackmer) La Spada.

He was the beloved father of Francis (Diana) La Spada Jr. and Nicholas S. (Jenna L. Raetz) La Spada. Cherished grandfather of Breck T. and Summer R. La Spada. Dear brother of Linda (Phillip) Stoltzenberg, Samuel (Marlyn Windnagel) La Spada, Charles J. (Yvonne) La Spada, Anthony La Spada, Michael J. La Spada, Patricia (Louis) Maldonado, Darlene (Rick Wiseman) Maldonado, Joseph La Spada, Thomas (Sandy) La Spada, and the mother of his children Angel A. Killion. Also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Frank served in the US Army as a Sargent First Class, where he was a Combat Engineer and Master Drill Sargent. He received the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Medal. He was a member of the American Legion, the Redman Club, the VFW, and was active and past president of local softball leagues in the City of Lockport. Frank was a disabled American Veteran. He was an avid New York Yankee fan and enjoyed traveling to see them.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 on Monday at The Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, corner of Transit and Niagara Streets, where prayer services will be held on Tuesday, March 10 at 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at All Saints Oratory, 391 Market St. at 11:00am. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery.
