TOWN OF LOCKPORT ― The DeSales Varsity Lady Knights have been crowned WNY Diocesan Champions for the 2015 season.

The Lady Knights defeated St. Mary’s of Lancaster in a thrilling come-from-behind 30-21 victory March 2 at Cardinal O’Hara High School to claim the title for the first time in the 28-year history of the playoff tournament.

DeSales finished their Niagara Parochial League regular season undefeated with a record of 12-0, and boast an impressive overall record of 24-2 this year. The Ladies took first place at the St. Mary’s of Swormville Holiday Invitational Tournament, as well as finishing first in the prestigious Mt. St. Mary’s Invitational Tournament this season.
