NEWFANE — A 19-year-old North Tonawanda man was charged with possession of marijuana by New York State Police on Thursday.
According to NYSP records, Bryan R. Barton was stopped on Route 78 in Newfane when Troopers detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Investigation revealed two glass smoking pipes containing marijuana residue and a plastic box containing approximately one gram of marihuana.
Barton was arrested and processed at SP Lockport. He was issued an appearance ticket and a ticket for uninspected motor vehicle. He is scheduled to return to Newfane Court on Tuesday.
