ROYALTON — A 29-year-old Medina man was charged with drugged driving following a one-car property damage accident on Rochester Road on Thursday.
According to New York State Police, Andrew Hiller was charged with driving without a license, moving from lane unsafely and crossing road hazard markers in addition to operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
While interviewing Hiller, troopers noticed slurred speech and administered standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed. A drug recognition evaluation tested positive and Hiller was arrested, processed at SP Lockport and transported to Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport where blood was drawn for a lab analysis.
Hiller was arraigned at the Town of Lockport Court and committed to Niagara County Jail in lieu of $500 cash.
