ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
Artists in any media and art lovers are invited to the Niagara Arts Guild’s monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. in room 127B of the Dale Center.
Guild member Sally Johnson will demonstrate a newer type of painting in mixed media technique. Johnson, of Gasport, has been a self-taught fine arts photographer for 25 years, but more recently changed to painting. She first did painted transfer Polaroid prints, and then studied abstract painting in acrylics. Current work includes realistic landscapes with raised points of interest. Sally has gained many prizes in art competitions in all media. She is now interested in poured ink works.
Refreshments will be served. The Niagara Arts Guild’s goal is to bring artists of all media types together to meet, network and inspire. The Guild meets on the third Friday of each month at the Dale Center from September through June.
NAG holds two juried shows a year. All artistic media is welcome including but certainly not limited to painting (watercolor, oils, and acrylics), photography, pen and ink. The meetings are free and always open to the public. The Niagara Arts Guild is always accepting new members.
