Thomas Stamates of Lockport, NY passed away January 10, 2015 in Buffalo General Hospital.

Tom was born March 6,1969 in Buffalo, NY the son of Bernice Biela Stamates and the late Thomas J. Stamates.  He was a Respiratory Therapist and partner in owning operating Preferred Home Care, Inc., Lockport and What’s Your Scoop Ice-cream Stand in Wrights Corners. Tom was a family orientated man along with his wife in supporting their three children in all their sporting and school activities and also enjoyed camping and fishing.

Besides his mother Bernice he is survived by his wife Stacy A. (Wenner) Stamates; father of Kelsey, Zachary and Cameron Stamates all at home, grandfather of Ella Rose Stamates-Arlington. He also is the brother of Linda Machowski of Buffalo and Susan (Steve) Makowski of Angola, NY.

Family and friends, may call Tuesday January 13, 2015 from 1 to 8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, NY. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday January 13, 2015 at 10 AM in the Newfane United Methodist Church, 2699 Maine Street, Newfane, NY with Pastor Kim Smith officiating.  Memorials to Upstate New York Transplant Services, 110 Broadway, Buffalo, NY 14203 would be appreciated by the family.
