Shirley M. Cushman of Newfane, wife of Daniel Cushman entered peacefully into rest at home under care of family and Niagara Hospice on Tuesday January 27, 2015.

Shirley was born in Newfane, NY on December 22, 1928. Daughter of the late Leon and Dorothy Kreeger Baldwin. Shirley and Daniel married on September 15, 1951 and have enjoyed their marriage for 63 years. Shirley was a member of the Newfane United Methodist Church, and the Christian Women’s Association. She enjoyed line dancing, bowling, reading, home decorating, crafts and gardening.

Mother of Aaron Cushman of Gasport, NY, Juli Cushman of Akron, NY, Kathy Richau of Lockport, NY and the late Bradford and Craig Cushman. Sister of Barbara, Peter, Paul and the late Beverly. Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Shirley will miss all of her fellow bowlers dearly.

Friends and Family may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY 14108 FRIDAY 2 -4PM and 7 – 9PM. Funeral services will be held in the Newfane United Methodist Church SATURDAY at 11AM. Burial will be held in Corwin Cemetery.
