Marvin “Dutch” Fry passed away on Sunday January 25, 2015.

Born in Lockport on November 9, 1927, he was the son of the late Burt and Laura Lederhouse Fry.  Dutch worked at Rochester products as a Monorail driver for 22 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member Rapids Fire Company Exempt, was mayor of the Rapids for two years and served in the US Army during WWII.

Dutch is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marie (nee Witkop) Fry; father of Marvin (Linda) Fry of Middlport, Rita (Matt) Brueckner of Lockport, Allan (Carrie Anne) Huth of Newfane, Debbie (Frank) Wagner of Lockport, Donna Massaro of Akron, Joy Cummings of Lockport, Tom (Sherry) Dunn of Lockport, Brenda (Jim) Glaser of Lockport and Gail (Ralph) Friedrich of Lockport; he is also survived by twelve grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Dutch was the brother of Clarence (Marjorie) Fry, Donald (Myra) Fry, Roy (Mary Ann) Fry, Marjorie Singleton and the late Doris Dietz, Lorraine Dysinger, Carol Lippert, Norman Fry, Warren Fry, Howard Fry, Glen Fry and Gordon Fry; also survived by several nieces and nephews and his best friend Milton Kanehl.

Friends may call on Wednesday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Thursday January 29th at 10 AM.  Interment will be in Huskey Cemetery.  Memorials to the Rapids Fire Company, Inc., 7195 Plank Road, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
