Gerald C. Lavelle, 28, 355 Market St., was charged around 10:53 p.m. Tuesday with speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. According to the LPD report, Lavelle was stopped for speeding and found to be driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to appear in City Court this morning and released on his own recognizance. A family member picked up his vehicle.
A Minard Street homeowner told LPD Tuesday morning that sometime between Dec. 9 and Tuesday, someone stole a Champion 9500 generator from his property. Nothing appeared to be missing aside from the $1,200 generator. The case was transferred to the detectives division.
An Irving Street woman told patrol Sunday afternoon that around 6:15 p.m. New Year's Day, someone threw an animal statue through her front screen and glass window. The statue had been in the woman's front yard. Total damage was listed at $175.
