Matthew J. Bentley, 421 Vine St., was charged around 1 p.m. Wednesday with petit larceny. According to the LPD report, Bentley stole 53 Clonazepam pills from a Washburn Street apartment. The report states that Bentley had used the cell phone of the man whose Clonazepam pills and had texted someone “ight ya I got sum collonapinz.” Bentley was located by LPD on High Street and admitted to the theft. He is to be in City Court on Monday.

A pair of North Adam Street residents told LPD that sometime early Wednesday morning, someone had broken into their vehicles and stolen items. One person had a pair of Oakley sunglasses and a hoodie stolen between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, while the other said that someone took four pairs of sunglasses from her glove compartment between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A John Street woman reported to LPD that someone had stolen the windshield wipers from her vehicle between 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. The approximate value of the windshield wipers is $30.

Frank A. Doran, 27, 17 Mill St., Upper, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt around 10:25 a.m. Wednesday. According to LPD, Doran violated an order of protection. He was slated to be in City Court on Wednesday.

Jason L. Benedict, 32, 198 Lock St., was charged around 10:10 a.m. Wednesday with second-degree obstruction of government administration and resisting arrest. According to LPD, Benedict had fled from police as they tried to arrest him on a warrant on Nov. 7. He was found and charged by police Wednesday morning. He was also set to be arraigned in City Court on Wednesday.

Keithrich Rogers, 37, 6594 Dysinger Road, Apt. 6, was charged Tuesday morning with third-degree assault. According to LPD, Rogers struck a woman in the head and face. He was also charged with second-degree harassment from a prior complaint. He was due in City Court Wednesday morning to face both charges.
