Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on May 20, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen Mojeski Mietlicki. Irene worked as a machine operator for RJ Reynolds, in Lockport for 20 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel RC Church in Niagara Falls, and enjoyed Bingo, Embroidery, crocheting, cooking and baking.
Irene is predeceased by her husbands, Adam Ohol Sr., who passed away on November 19, 1988 and Harry Schlegel, who passed away in 1994; Irene is also predeceased by two grandchildren.
Mother of Adam (Ruth) Ohol Jr. of Lockport, Michael (late Brenda) Ohol of Lockport, Daniel (Carmen) Ohol of Olcott, Rodney Ohol of Lockport, Darlene (Neil) Livergood of Lockport, Steven (Jan) Ohol of Lockport, Belbina (Craig Will) Wetherwax of Amherst, Bonnie (Jeff) Sherrie of NC, Kevin OHol of Akron and Wayne (Lisa) Ohol of Lockport; grandmother of 18, great grandmother of 14, great great grandmother of 2; Sister of Betty (Tim) Zettel, Natalie Gornicki, both of Fl., Richard Mietlicki of NF, Frank (Barbara) Mietlicki of Lockport and Henry (Janet) Mietlicki of Lockport and the late Helen, Mary, Lotti, Pearl, Dolores, Chester and Edward.
There will be no prior visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of WNY, 4053 Maple Rd., Suite 110, Amherst, NY 14226, would be appreciated by the family.
