APPLETON — A 44-year-old Hess Road woman who police say forced her way into another woman's home Thursday night was charged with trespassing and harassment.

Elaine Laskey, 1888 Hess Road, Apt. 4, had been banging on a Railroad Avenue woman's door around 6:32 p.m., the report said. The woman who lives at the Railroad Avenue address asked who was there and after several non-answers, Laskey said it was her, causing the resident to tell her to go away and that she was unwelcome.

The report states that Laskey resumed pounding on the woman's door, causing the woman to open it in order to tell Laskey to leave. That it when Laskey forced her way into the woman's home, the report says. Finally, another party convinced Laskey to leave.

NCSO charged Laskey with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal trespassing and issued her an appearance ticket to Town of Newfane Court for Jan. 20.
