ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
Lockport police arrested a 44-year-old Sweetwood Drive man for jaywalking around 1:35 a.m.
According to the arrest report, patrol observed two males walking in the center of Prospect Street. When patrol asked the men to move to the sidewalk, the pair were reluctant to do so. Patrol asked the men to stop and while one stopped to talk with officers, the other — Charles E. Luke, 5791 Sweetwood Dr., Apt. D, continued to walk away.
“Reporting officer ordered Luke to stop several times,” the report said. “Luke proceeded to ignore and walk away from reporting officer and turned down Phelps Street saying ‘I don’t have time for this.’”
Luke was charged with being a pedestrian in the roadway and released on his own recognizance. He is ordered to appear in City Court on Jan. 6.

All part of the problems of today, no one seems to think they have to obey authoity figures. Kind of how people get more charges placed on them or worse.
