TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 19-year-old Ruhlman Road man was treated and released at ENH-Lockport Monday after he was assaulted by another man with a knife.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office report, a suspect by the name of Brandon M. Howard, no age or address given, had fled on foot southbound from Ruhlman Road wearing a blue sweatshirt, jeans and a headband after the assault, which occurred around 5:22 p.m.
The report states that Howard had walked up to the victim with a hood over his face. When he approached the victim, he said "tell me why I shouldn't do you right now" and pulled out a knife from his waistband. The two then began to fight before the victim was able to knock the knife away from Howard and defend himself until Howard ran away.
During the fight, Howard dropped his cell phone and the knife he tried to use, and left them at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing by NCSO Criminal Investigations Bureau.
