Ebin 'John' Bush III passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. He was the husband of the late Nancy E. (Johnston) Bush. John was born on September 2, 1950 in Syracuse, NY. He was the son of Jeanette Bush and the late Ebin John Bush Jr.

John was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as a Navy Seabee. In his service to his country, John earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Sharpshooter Rifle Ribbon, and the Combat Action Ribbon. John was a carpenter by trade and loved fishing, boating, hunting, and above all, spending time with his grandkids.

John is survived by his beloved children, Todd (Danielle) Bush, Kevin (Jessica) Bush, and Carol Helen Bush; his loving brothers and sisters, Steven (JoAnn) Bush, April (John) Winters, Ann Bush, and York (Maria) Bush; and his loving brothers and sisters in law, Maureen (John) Towler, Karen (Mike) Fenzl, Susan (Glen) Miller, and Michael (Ellen) Johnston. He was affectionately known as "Grandpa" to Ebin, Emma, Taylin, Kennedy, and Jackson Bush. He also has many beloved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, December 12, 2014, from 4-7pm, at Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara St., Lockport. A memorial service with military honors will be celebrated on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 11:00am, also at Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in memory of Ebin John Bush III, to the Buffalo VA Medical Center, 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215 or the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), www.dav.org.
