For a minute and 20 seconds, the Sabres were in the game. After that, it was all Penguins in the home team's 6-1 loss Saturday night at the First Niagara Center.

Kris Letang got things started for Pittsburgh with a goal at 1:21, assisted by Sidney Crosby and Patric Hornqvist. Hornqvist then scored one of his own at 3:31, assisted by Kris Letang and Crosby. Letang then scored at 15:04, assisted by Paul Martin and Crosby.

In the second period, Hornqvist made it 4-1 with a power play goal, assisted by Chris Kunitz and Crosby . Robert Bortuzzo made it 5-1 Penguins at 14:02. Crosby and Kunitz assisted on he Penguins goal. With 4:08 left in the period, Zemgus Girgensons finally got Buffalo on the board, assisted by Josh Gorges and Brian Gionta. Evgeni Malkin wrapped up the scoring with less than a minute to go. Blake Comeau and Letang got the assists.
