NEWFANE — A Wheeler Road woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone went through three vehicles at her home, stealing a GPS and stereo unit from one of them.

The woman told patrol that the thefts occurred between 7 p.m. Monday and 6:15 a.m. Tuesday.

While there was no damage noticed to the vehicle from which the stereo and GPS were stolen, the complainant said that she believed the vehicle was locked. She said that the GPS unit was worth approximately $100 and the stereo was worth approximately $315.

A second vehicle sustained damage to the passenger door handle, valued at $150. The third vehicle showed no signs of damage and nothing appeared to be missing.

Patrol advised the parties to try and leave nothing of value in their vehicles, and to be sure that they are locked at all times. The case is considered closed pending more information.
