NEWFANE — A Lockport-Olcott Road man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone used his PayPal credit account to charge $279.95 on MLB.com.

The man told patrol Thursday that the unauthorized purchases were made in December of 2013 but that he has begun to receive several emails requesting payment, as well as collection phone calls.

The complainant said he has contacted PayPal Credit and advised that the charges were unauthorized and that he never received any delivered product to his residence. PayPal Credit advised him to contact local police agency (NCSO), file a police report regarding the fraudulent charges and fax a copy of the report to PayPal Credit for further investigation.
