Larry Lavocat
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 59-year-old Lockport man was charged with trespassing and second-degree harassment after police say he made inappropriate comments and contact with a female worker at a Transit Road store — then refused to leave.

Larry A. Lavocat, 5301 Shunpike Road, had previously been asked not to come back to the Tractor Supply Store, 6017 South Transit Road, according to his arrest report. Around 1:45 p.m. Friday, he approached a female employee while she was on a ladder and said "nice ass." Then he rubbed "up and down" on her arm inappropriately. The employee notified store management who asked Lavocat to leave. But he refused.

Patrol arrived and also asked Lavocat to leave the store. Again he refused.

"Patrol asked Lavocat about rubbing the body of the female employee and Lavocat stated that he just wanted to touch her," according to the arrest report.

Patrol repeatedly asked him to exit the store and he continued to refuse. After several attempts to subdue him, NCSO Tasered him. "As Lavocat reached back to the area that was being Tasered, patrol was able to handcuff Lavocat," the report said.

He was transported to the Niagara County Jail where his bail was set at $500. He is slated to appear in Town of Lockport Court on Tuesday.
