WRIGHTS CORNERS — A 29-year-old Niagara Falls man was charged Friday with trespassing after the Niagara County Sheriff's Office received complaints of him begging people for money.
Jedidiah Aikin, 21 C St., Niagara Falls, was said to be begging customers at Tops, McDonald's and Subway.
Upon arrival, patrol found Aikin inside of Subway, 3986 Lockport-Olcott Road, where they were told that store management has warned Aikin several times that he is no longer allowed inside of their business due to him begging customers for money. Patrol has also previously advised Aikin that he is not allowed inside of the local restaurants for the same reason.
While on scene patrol learned that a customer inside of the business gave Aikin $5. Patrol returned the money back to the customer prior to transporting Aikin to the Niagara County Jail, where he was held in lieu of $250 bail. He is to appear in the Town of Newfane Court on Tuesday.
