OLCOTT — A Lockport woman is facing harassment charges after she and a friend had a disagreement via text message.
According to the NCSO arrest report, Kelly Marie Randolph, 18, 181 Price St., was having a conversation via text message with her friend in regards to an incident that had occurred earlier while they were out together. Several text messages were exchanged between the women. In one of the messages from Randolph she wrote "you dumb ass I punch in face."
The complainant told patrol she was concerned that Randolph would punch her or have someone else punch her.
Patrol was able to make contact with Randolph, who advised that the complainant had threatened to punch her prior to her making the statement. Randolph was taken into custody without incident and released on an appearance ticket to the Town of Newfane Court on Oct. 21 to answer to the charges of second-degree harassment. The women were advised not to have any further contact with each other.
