Police say this man did $3,000 worth of damage to a door in order to score $150 worth of cigarettes early Sunday morning. (PHOTOS CONTRIBUTED BY LPD)

Police are hoping someone will recognize the man in this
photo and call with information.
The Lockport Police Department released security footage today of the suspect in a burglary early Sunday morning at Kenyon's Variety, 1121 Lincoln Ave.

According to police, the thief broke into the store around 5:42 a.m. using what appeared to be a pry bar. The male then took 15 packs of Newport cigarettes and then fled the scene.

The damage to the door was estimated as $3,000, while the value of the cigarettes was pegged at $150.30.

Police ask anyone with any information or who may know the identity of the man in the security photos to call Det. Lt. Todd Chenez at 439-6718 or you the confidential tip line at 439-6707.
