Twenty-nine shots were fired at Los Angeles Kings' goaltender Jonathan Quick Thursday night. None got through as the Sabres were shut out by the Kings, 2-0.

The Kings netted their first goal a mere 36 seconds into the game. With Tyler Myers in the penalty box for hooking, Jeff Carter got one past Sabres' netminder Jhonas Enroth. Drew Doughty and Tyler Toffoli had assists on the goal.

Los Angeles added another goal 15:11 into the second period. This one, also on the power play, came from Anze Kopitar with Carter assisting.

Enroth stopped 37 of 39 shots on the night. The Sabres are now 1-7 on the season. They next play Saturday against the San Jose Sharks in San Jose.
