ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
Frank Vecchio, coach and general manager of the Lockport Express said that the delay of their first true home game at Lockport's Cornerstone Arena is a "minor setback" this afternoon.
The team was to play Saturday at 7 p.m. against the Roc City Royals. That game has been postponed until a later date to be announced due to issues with the compressor system.
“We’re still ready and excited to get settled into our new home,” Vecchio said. "We should know more about when our first home game will take place, once the ice is back in playable condition.”
“We know it’s a bit disappointing, but when people get inside and see this facility they’re going to be blown away. It truly is a premier rink,” Vecchio stated.
More details on the rescheduling of Lockport Express games and resumption of on-ice activity at Cornerstone CFCU Arena will be made available in the near future, according to a press release.
