Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union staff members made donations this summer in an effort to raise awareness and money for the Alzheimer’s Association of Western New York.

For a one time contribution the credit union employees were able to wear jeans and a T-shirt on Fridays between July and September. The Cornerstone CFCU Board of Directors offered to match the donation up to $500. In all, over $2,600 was donated to this worthwhile cause.

“Credit Unions are known for their philosophy of ‘People Helping People’ and this is just one of the ways we like to give back to our community” said Cornerstone President/CEO Ann M. Hood. “Like so many other people, Alzheimer’s hits close to home for many of us here at the credit union. We are glad to be able to make a contribution toward finding a cure for this disease.”

The Alzheimer’s Association reaches millions of people affected by the disease through their national office and chapters in communities nationwide. Visit www.alz.org for more information. For more information about Cornerstone CFCU, visit CornerstoneCommunityFCU.org.
