TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Two people were taken to ENH-Lockport following a two-car crash just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Day and Chestnut Ridge roads.

Witnesses say an elderly driver in a blue car was hit by a vehicle driven by a male with a female passenger. The blue car then was pinned on the driver's side by power pole guy wires. The elderly driver had to be convinced to be transported to ENH-Lockport to be checked out. The driver of the other car had a possible arm fracture and was also transported to the Lockport hospital, the female passenger signed off and was walking around at the scene.

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies, Wrights Corners and South Lockport fire companies responded to the accident.

Harringtons had to tow both vehicles. The accident remains under investigation by NCSO.

The road was closed down while crews attended to the crash.
