ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
Seven golf carts stolen from the Niagara County Golf Course on Davison Road were recovered by law enforcement early Monday morning.
According to a report from the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, patrol observed a white golf cart in the roadway on East High Street at Ernest Road around 4:30 a.m., resulting in a search of the area for suspects or other golf carts.
While searching the playground area of Day Road Park, a second white golf cart was located. Patrol also observed tire tracks coming from the area of the Niagara County Golf Course. It was confirmed by an employee of the golf course that these two golf carts — number 14 and 15 — are property of the Niagara County Golf Course. Patrol responded to the golf course and cart number 13 was recovered on the golf course in a watery ditch.
Lockport police recovered four more carts during the search.
The carts were taken to be processed for fingerprints and DNA.
