ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
The Lockport Rampage will take on the Nickel City Kings at 7 p.m. at Outwater Park for the Western Conference championship of the Northeastern Football Alliance.
The Rampage got to this position by beating the Buffalo Gladiators 8-2 a week ago in what may be the team's hardest-fought win of the season. They are the first Lockport semi-pro football team to win a post-season contest since the Lockport Invaders of the 1990s.
Their opponent tonight — the Kings — offered them their other most difficult game of the year, a game the Rampage won 6-0 on June 14.
"The fans willed us to victory last week and hopefully we can have that attendance plus more. We appreciate every Rampage fan out there," the team said Friday via its Facebook page.
The Rampage go into tonight's game undefeated and hoping to keep that streak alive to make it into the NFA Championship Game.
For their part, the Nickel City Kings won the right to play in the conference championship by beating the Southern Tier Diesel.
