TOWN OF LOCKPORT — The Niagara County Sheriff Office will be holding a "First Nighter" for young adults interested in joining our "Law Enforcement Explorers Post."
The event will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 in the patrol room at the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, 5526 Niagara St. Ext..
This program is designed to allow young adults who are interested in a career in law enforcement to view the Sheriff's Office operations. Young adults, ages 14 – 20 from all over Niagara County are eligible to attend.
Meetings will include presentations from the various departments of the Sheriff's Office. Young adults over the age of 16 are eligible for "ride-alongs" with the deputies.
The post meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month during the school season.
