WRIGHTS CORNERS — A 29-year-old man, detained by Niagara County Sheriff's deputies Tuesday morning, was about to be released when he told deputies he wanted to go to jail.
Jedidiah J. Aikin, 29, who lists addresses on C Street in Niagara Falls and Ellicott Road in Wrights Corners, began using abusive and obscene language loudly outside in public while police were investigating a situation, according to the NCSO report. Aikin was told several times to stop yelling and stop using foul language, the report added.
Aikin was handcuffed and when patrol advised him to leave the area once he was uncuffed, Aikin "refused to allow Patrol to remove his handcuffs and stated he wanted to go back to NCSO Jail," according to the report. "He then continued yelling obscenities and using abusive language toward patrol causing a public annoyance and alarm."
In the end, Aikin was charged with disorderly conduct and taken to Niagara County Jail on $100 pre-arraignment bail. He is to appear in Town of Newfane Court on Monday.
