TOWN OF LOCKPORT — An Oliver Street woman, accused of stealing a key to a car, was charged with petit larceny by Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Monday.
Renee M. Eggert, 37, 76 Oliver St., removed the plates from the vehicle and took the key that was in the ignition, according to the complainants. Eggert admitted patrol that she had taken the plates, as they were registered to her, but said she left the key in the car after turning it off around 2:45 p.m. Monday.
Two complainants said they saw her take the key, however, and she was charged and issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Lockport Court on Thursday.
