Kyle O'Flaherty
WHEATFIELD — A 24-year-old Niagara Falls man was arrested early this morning and charged with the early-morning robbery of a 7-Eleven, as well as a robbery earlier this week of a Tim Hortons.

According to a release by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Kyle M. O'Flaherty, 9818 Moschel Court, Niagara Falls, robbed the 7-Eleven, 6880 Plaza Dr., at knife-point early this morning, making off with a small amount of cash and some cigarettes.

Patrol units from NCSO, the New York State Police and the Town of Niagara quickly descended on the area in response to the 911 call. A vehicle was stopped by the Town of Niagara Police Department in the area of the robbery and further investigation led officers to believe that the sole occupant, O'Flaherty, was the perpetrator of the 7-Eleven robbery.

Following a brief investigation by the Crime Scene Unit and the Criminal Investigation Bureau, O'Flaherty was charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny in relation to the robbery. He was also charged with first-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny in relation to a robbery at Tim Hortons, 2248 Niagara Falls Blvd., that had occurred early Sunday morning. In both instances, O'Flaherty was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

O'Flaherty was arraigned in Town of Wheatfield Court and remitted to Niagara County Jail on $20,0000 cash bail or $40,000 bond on each count of robberty. He is to return to court on Wednesday.
