Paul M. Flynn

Lockport police have charged Paul M. Flynn with second-degree murder related to the death of Clyde M. Mullen, who died Wednesday at ECMC after a Saturday night assault on Genesee Street.

Flynn, 39, 80 Genesee St., Apt. 3, is scheduled to be arraigned at 3 p.m. in City Court.

According to police reports, Flynn and Mullen had gotten into an altercation late Saturday when Flynn grabbed Mullen by the neck and threw him down a set of porch stairs onto the concrete below.

Mullen was rushed to ECMC where he had remained in the trauma unit until Wednesday, when he died.

Flynn had originally been charged with second-degree assault but Mullen's death allowed for the charges to be upgraded.
