OLCOTT — An Albion woman reported to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Friday that she was assaulted by a person in her care.
According to the report, the assailant had a "non-violent incident" around 11 a.m. and while he was being calmed down by staff, he grabbed the woman's glasses from her face and struck her with them on the right side of her face, narrowly missing her eye. While still holding her glasses in his hand, he struck the woman in the hand causing a small laceration and drew blood.
The woman declined medical attention. The alleged assailant was taken to Cambria Fire Hall and then transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital by Rural Metro.
