ENP STAFF REPORTS

TOWN OF LOCKPORT — An Oakbrook Drive man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone used his Key Bank debit card without permission.
The man told patrol on Saturday that his balance was approximately $144.50 lower than it should have been. He said he had last used the card at Walmart in Lockport and believed he either left the card with the cashier or dropped it. He said the card could only be used with a pin number and his wife is the only other person with access to the account.
The complainant contacted Key Bank to advise them of the fraudulent use and they cancelled the card immediately. A Key Bank representative also said the card had been used three separate times on Saturday. The card was first used at Key Bank located at 5740 South Transit Road and the unknown person withdrew $40 at 4 a.m. The unknown person then withdrew $60 from a Cardtronics ATM at the Sunoco Gas Station located at 5985 South Transit Road at 4:59 a.m. The card was last used at Kenyon's Variety Store on Robinson Road in Lockport and the unknown person withdrew $40 at 11:07 a.m.
The complainant told patrol on Monday that he had found the card under the driver's seat of his vehicle. Patrol secured it for evidence.
