TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Ransomville resident told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that while he was at Home Depot Saturday morning, he was struck in the face by a customer who owed him money.
The man told patrol that he he recently did a siding job for a couple and there was a dispute with the payment. He stated the couple owed him $3,200 and he's been having issues getting the payment. He said that while he was getting dropped off at the main entrance of the Home Depot, he saw them exit the store and start walking toward the stopped vehicle he was a passenger in. He stated they were laughing and pointing at him. He said he exited the vehicle, and before he could even ask why they were laughing, the male punched him in his face with a closed fist, striking his nose and mouth, causing his nose to bleed, at which point the complainant said he walked away and went into the store to call the police.
The complainant said he was treated and released from the hospital with swelling and a possible fracture to his nasal cavity. The fracture is not confirmed because he denied the CT scan at the hospital.
Patrol is continuing this investigation until contact with the accused assailants is made.
