Edward K. Washburn, 35, 36 S. Transit St., Apt. 1, was charged around 7:40 p.m. Friday with second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. According to the LPD arrest report, Washburn grabbed a woman and punched her at Walgreens in front of two children. Washburn is slated for City Court on Monday.

Shawn A. Awtry, 36, no address given, was charged with disorderly conduct around 10:30 p.m. Friday. According to the police report, Awtry was found in the front yard of a Cottage Street home, highly intoxicated. He was transported to ENH-Lockport, where he became belligerent. He is to appear in City Court on Monday.

Curtis E. Hunter, 28, 36 South Transit St., Apt 2, was charged with second-degree harassment around 3:13 p.m. Saturday. According to the arrest report, Hunter slapped a woman on Cottage Street near the Salvation Army. Hunter is to appear in City Court Monday morning.

Timothy J. Smider, 31, 355 East Ave., was charged around 9:46 p.m. Saturday with violation of the city noise ordinance. He is due in City Court on Aug. 26.

Kyle J. Thurston, 24, 488 Evergreen Dr., Apt. 6, was charged around 3:45 a.m. with petit larceny, fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree possession of stolen property, and fifth-degree possession of stolen property. According to the arrest report, Thurston took a woman's purse off the back of a chair from Lock 34 and removed the wallet, debit card, driver's license and cell phone. The purse was located in the men's room and the driver's license and debit card were located on Thurston. He is due in City Court on Monday.
