WRIGHTS CORNERS — A 24-year-old South Transit Street man was charged Thursday evening with DWI on Lockport-Olcott Road by Niagara County Sheriff's deputies.
According to the NCSO report, Thomas M. Washburn showed signs of intoxication and failed four of five field sobriety tests. He also provided a positive reading on the road side alco-sensor.
He was transported to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office and given a chemical breath test, which showed his blood alcohol content to be .11 percent. He was then taken to the jail without incident.
He is to appear in the Town of Newfane Court on Wednesday to be arraigned on the charges of driving while intoxicated, and other vehicle and traffic violations.
