Lockside Art Center recently announced its Summer 2014 class schedule, including oil painting, pastel painting, drawing, self publishing, stereography and make-and-take soap.
The oil painting class runs Mondays from 5-7 p.m. The class started July 28 and runs for six weeks. It costs $135 for members and $145 for non-members.
Pastel painting will be offered Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. starting Wednesday and running for six weeks. It also costs $135.00 for members and $145 for non-members.
Stereography: Learn how to compose and make your own 3D photos with a basic camera in a two-session class held from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 11 and 25. It costs $40 for members and $50 for non-members.
Self-publishing: Learn how to transform your book from words and ideas into a printed book available on Amazon, and an ebook for Kindle. The three-week class will be held Thursdays starting Aug. 21. It costs $60 for members and $70 for non-members.
A make-and-take hand soap class will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Nov. 22. Cost: $25 for members and $30 for non-members.
Classes planned for the 2014 fall include portrait photography, watercolor, composition, creative photographic techniques, and introduction to Paleolithic art. For more information, call the center at 478-0239 or email locksideart@cs.com.
