Yolanda Margaret Gorman passed away July 15, 2014 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Lockport on October 3, 1917 she was the daughter of Joseph A. and Amelia R. (Ciaudella) Dean. Yolanda worked for Harrison Radiator in clerical for over 30 years retiring in 1975. She was a very active member of St. John the Baptist Roman catholic Church belonging to several groups. Yolanda also enjoyed bowling and golfing.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert E. Gorman in 1982 and sister Lydia Ida Dean in 1971. Yolanda is survived by her children Deborah A. Gorman of North Carolina and Robert D. Gorman of Virginia; grandmother of Samantha Rohring Kennedy of New York and Tamara L. Rohring of North Carolina; five great grandchildren; sister of Dr. Robert J. Dean of Florida; also one niece and three nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, July 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 19th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Donations to the church would be appreciated by the family.
