Dalana Dorato
NEWFANE — A 27-year-old Olcott woman was stopped Wednesday night by Niagara County Sheriff's deputies for driving without a license, when a search of her car turned up an unknown prescription pill.

According to the arrest report, Dalana N. Dorato, 5787 W. Main St., Olcott, was pulled over because patrol knew her license had been suspended. When checking with the DMV, patrol also discovered that there was no insurance on file for the vehicle.

Patrol asked Dorato for consent to search the vehicle, which she granted. Patrol located a prescription bottle of Trazodone inside the middle console. The prescription was prescribed to Dorato, but inside the bottle patrol located a half of an oval tablet, which were different from the rest of the round pills, according to the report. The half oval tablet was secured into an evidence bag and sent to the forensic laboratory for testing.

Dorato was taken to Niagara County Jail and held on $250 bail. She is to appear in Town of Newfane Court on Tuesday.
