This work by Anita Gullo-Eardley will be on hand at the
Niagara Frontier Art Exhibit. 
The Kenan Center House Gallery will present the Niagara Frontier Art Exhibit (NFAE), Sunday through Aug. 29, featuring 51 artists from the western and central New York region working in a variety of two- and three-dimensional media.

Twenty of the artists selected reside in Niagara County. They are: R. Bemisderfer, Margaret Carney, Beverly DiPalma, Cynthia Gawley, Kristine Gazzo, Kathleen S. Giles, John Glennie, Anita Gullo-Eardley, John Lagomaggiore, Joan Langley-Shaw, Carol Mathewson, Manning McCandlish, Christine A. Miller, Rose Popper, M. Scott Reagan,  Robert J. Rimmer, Dennis Stierer, Dody Walter, Joseph Whalen, and Bill Wilson. They are joined by: Paul Alico, Karen Carbonara, Diane Chadwick, Brenda Cretney, Ric Feeney, Beverly Fink, Sharon Fundalinski, Joan Hambleton, Judy Hartke, Charles Houseman, Carol Koziol Clark, Pat Kraus, Nancy C. Mariani, Maureen Matthews-Toth, Kelsey Merkle, John Merlino, Donna Miska, Fran Noonan, Cindi O’Mara, Betty Pitts-Foster, Joan Saba, Carl Schifano, Kathy Schifano, Carol Siracuse, Rose Marie Sroka, E. Jane Stoddard, Sally Treanor, Sandra Vanich, and David Vitrano

Since 1967, the Kenan Center’s Niagara Frontier Art Exhibit has provided a forum for significant new works by artists from the Greater Buffalo-Niagara region. The juried show features a variety of media including oils, watercolor, acrylic, pastels, photography, pen and ink, charcoal, and terra cotta sculpture.

This piece by Joan Langley-Shaw will also be on display.
Seven cash awards will be presented during the opening reception including Best of Show, Juror’s Choice Purchase Award, the Sheila Whalen Memorial Realism in Drawing Award, the Julia Beamer Memorial Award, and three Awards of Excellence. In addition, three Honorable Mention Awards will be given.
   
Juror for the show is watercolor artist, Jodie Ziehm. She is a member of the Buffalo Society of Artists, Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society, Art Dialogue, Buffalo Niagara Art Association, Fine Arts League of Buffalo, where she coordinated life drawing classes for many years, and the Carnegie Art Center where she is a past board member.  She has participated in many group and solo gallery exhibitions, both locally and nationally and has won numerous awards.

Gallery hours are: Monday-Friday,  noon-5 p.m. and Sunday, 2-5 p.m. A free public reception and awards presentation will be held on Sunday. For more information, call 433-2617 or go to www.kenancenter.org.
